Work is almost completed for the 2009 MFT Resurfacing Program! The paving on the resurfaced streets is completed and only sodding remains to be finished. There will be more Minor Area Repair Strategy (MARS) patching done in August. The program is designed to patch the worst pavement areas on selected streets and provide an improved ride surface until the next planned full roadway resurfacing/reconstruction project.

Construction is continuing on schedule. Landscaping started this week. This includes areas around new concrete and any areas disturbed by construction. The paving of the surface lift (top layer) of asphalt will be scheduled shortly. Prior to surfacing, the streets will be swept and a tack coat of oil will be applied. This tack drys within an hour; however, we advise drivers to avoid vehicle use on the tack coat as it dries.

Construction is continuing on schedule except for the storm sewer installation on Overlook Drive, which is only partially completed due to a conflict with an existing gas service line. Milling on Springdale & Highland Terrace is schedule to occur on Wednesday, July 8th. Harvest and Willow will also be milled later this week. Paving (weather dependent) is planned to start on Thursday. All concrete work has been completed.
